ANZAC Day

Tomorrow the Nation will celebrate ANZAC Day together. This year is will be very different as we stay home to stay safe.

Your family may like to join the #lightupthedawn campaign by lighting a candle at dawn in your driveway and take a moment to remember our soldiers who have fought and who are still fighting for our country.

Prayer

God of love, we bring our thanks this day for the peace and security we enjoy, which was won for us through the courage and devotion of those who gave their lives in time of war.

We pray that their labour and sacrifice may not be in vain, but that their spirit may live on in us and in generations to come.

That the liberty, truth and justice which they sought to preserve may be seen and known in all the nations upon earth.

This we pray in the name of the one who gave his life for the sake of the world, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

We also pray for the four Victorian police officers who tragically died while serving the community. May we keep all our service people in our prayers and thoughts.

You may like to show your support by placing a blue ribbon on your fence or door.

A fun idea for feeding hungry children!

A fun activity could be for children to set up their own 'home canteen'.  We would love to see your healthy options, email us an image of your 'home canteen' to office@scelwood.catholic.edu.au.  We look forward to sharing the images we receive in our next newsletter.

Redmond family's home canteen, well done, awesome effort:
