Road rules for picking up/dropping off students

Dear Parents and Guardians
Thank you to those parents who have adhered to our campus pick up and drop off restrictions.
We have monitored the time it takes to pick up and drop off senior students. Most mornings the drop off takes less than 3 minutes from a car pulling in at the gate to it departing.
Afternoon times take much longer but can be reduced with everyone’s cooperation.
Remember that restrictions still apply. There is limited parking on campus so please treat the pick up like you would at the airport, waiting till your passengers are ready before arriving and being prepared to circle around if they are not. Please do not arrive before your child is ready and then block the pick-up zones for others. The drop off zones are for one minute stays only. Come late rather than early, because it is better that your child waits for you rather than you wait for them.
To assist in minimising student pick up times:
- Avoid coming onto campus unless necessary. Consider meeting off campus or or make other arrangements.
- Arrive well after school has finished, i.e. 3.30 pm. On days your student has Period 6, then 4.15 pm.
- Parents and any accompanying passengers are asked to stay in their cars.
- Parking restrictions will be in place to discourage stopping. Facilities have been extended to allow for pick up and drop off arrangements.
- There will be no parking in front of the Senior Gym.
- The internal horseshoe carpark will now be opened before 9 am and after 3 pm for drop off and pick up only. There will be no angled parking in the centre.
- Access to handicap parking is in the internal horseshoe for student drop off or pick up. Parents should not get out of their vehicles.
- Be prepared to circle around if your student is not ready.
- Students are to wait (with their siblings) in a spot prearranged with parents.
- Student drivers are not permitted to park on campus.
For Junior School pick up (other than ELC)
- Please do not arrive early. Please arrive after the end of school.
- Please display your child’s name on the sun visor or passenger window so staff can locate them quickly (this is essential when it rains).
- Drive around the roundabout to the furthest point possible.
- Remain in your car at all times.
- Do not park in front of neighbouring driveways. Always obey council parking restrictions.
Thank you for your co-operation.
