The SMPS Family & Friends group would like to thank the following people for their kindness, assistance and generosity in 2020.

πŸ’™ To Miss Jenny. Thank you doesn't seem enough. Your patience, support, encouragement, time, guidance, organisation and persistence paid off in Term 4 when the SMPS FAF officially met for the first time. Thank you for being the guiding force behind getting the FAF up and running.Β

πŸ’š To Miss Karen. Thank you for your help and support with the second hand uniform. Your insights are greatly appreciated. As is your ability to keep finding more and more uniform hidden away throughout the office!Β

πŸ’› To Miss Megan and Nurul. Thank you for all the hours of hard work you put into compiling the first SMPS Family Favourites recipe book. It was a huge job! Everyone who opens the book will be impressed with the result not just now, but for many years to come.

πŸ’™ To all the SMPS staff who every day, in so many ways, enrich the lives of our SMPS children in ways that will last forever. Thank you for everything you do. Your efforts do not go unnoticed and everything you do is greatly appreciated by the SMPS community. Thank you for performing to an exceptional level during the COVID lockdown.Β

πŸ’š To all the families and friends who supported SMPS by:

  • donating prizes to, or buying tickets in, our raffles
  • purchasing books via the Scholastic Book Club
  • submitting recipes for, or buying, our Family Favourites recipe book
  • donating uniform to, or purchasing second uniform from, our SHUS
  • sharing photos and stories for this page in our newsletter

πŸ’› From me, Georgie, the current President of the FAF, thank you to everyone who volunteered to be a part of the F&F group this year. The time you have dedicated to our meetings, along with your assistance and support, inspire me and make me excited for what we will do next year and the years after that. Thank you Vanessa, Sim, Nurul, Nalinda, Miss Jenny, Mayurika, Katy, Jacqueline, Dragana, Doug and Datta.

And thank you, again, Miss Jenny. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be enjoying typing up this newsletter and I wouldn't have thrived doing all I have done this term with the FAF.

πŸŽ„ Christmas is a Christian celebration of Jesus' birth. To Christians, Jesus is the Son of God and the saviour of the world, and it is believed He came to die for our sins so that we may go to heaven.

πŸŽ„Here are some of the SMPS families Christmas trees.Β

🍱 Thank you very much to everyone who has purchased the SMPS Family Favourites Recipe book, which has over 100 recipes! ($20 per book)

πŸ₯˜ We understand some people may have experienced issues when trying to place an order of the book. If you did, please let us know by emailing smps.faf@gmail.com and we'll be in touch.

🧁 If you try some of these delicious recipes during the school holidays, we'd love you to send your cooking photos to smps.faf@gmail.com so we can include them in our first newsletter for 2021! Bon appetite!

Families & Friends Club (FAF)

πŸ“— The SMPS F&F is currently raising money to fund the line markings on the concreted areas outside the art room and library. (Such as a hop scotch pattern.) We're not half way there yet. Do you have any fundraising ideas? If you do, please email them to Β smps.faf@gmail.com

Β

πŸ“˜Every time you support the school financially through extra-curricular activities, you are helping SMPS get closer to having those line markings. Thank you for supporting your school!

Β

πŸ“’ If you would like to join the FAF in 2021, please email smps.faf@gmail.com and we will be in touch.

To join the FAF, you will need to obtain a valid WWCC (Working With Children Check). There isn't a fee, so apply for now now and you can be more involved with SMPS's activities!
