Return to School

Morning All

Well it is a great morning as we can return to school tomorrow (Thursday18th February).

Restrictions Stage 4 have been lifted in Victoria after our short 5 day lockdown. For Rollins, this means we will all return to the conditions that were operational last Friday before the lockdown.

  • Gates will open at 8.30am- 2 gates only- Ernest St & Wolseley Grove
  • Students will be sanitised on entry to classrooms
  • Parents are allowed into school grounds. If staying longer than 15 minutes all parents need to use the QR code on the Ernest and Wolseley Grove gates
  • Parents who wish to speak to the class teacher need to make contact via DoJo or phone call to the school.
  • Gates will be locked after school so we ask all parents to collect their child/children and exit the school  in a timely manner
  • Icy poles will still be for sale on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Term 1 &4
  • The canteen will operate again this Friday 19th February
  • Batesford students will return to the Batesford campus tomorrow (Thursday 18th February) and then attend the Rollins Campus on Friday 19th February for specialists programs
  • Meet and Greet meetings will still go ahead next Wednesday and Thursday as planned

Bikes at School

Please ensure that if your child rides to school that they have a mechanism to lock their bike. This is important for safety reason. Reminder that all bikes must be walked when in school grounds

Many Thanks

Lockdown Thankyou

A huge thank you to all the parents and carers who supervised their child/children during the latest lockdown. I had no prior knowledge of the regional lockdown until we heard it on the television on Friday afternoon. Like everyone, we went into a spin!

During this lockdown I have asked staff to prepare learning activities in case we are ever locked down again at very short notice- here's hoping that doesn't happen- but it is better that we are prepared.

Personally, I would like to thank all parents for their support during this pandemic. I know it has been extremely difficult and demanding for parents to juggle home duties, teaching. working from home and keeping themselves  afloat. Again, the support you have given myself and my staff has been very much appreciated.

Have a great day and enjoy our new freedom!

Jenny
