A message from our Principal
Welcome Back!
It is great news today that all schools will reopen tomorrow. We have sent information via the School App and have emailed all families.
Gates will open at 8.30am and we encourage parents to drop their children off at the gates where possible. If you wish to walk your child into school, please remember physical distancing or wear a face mask. Parents who need to come into the Reception area, must wear a face mask.
We thank all parents for their support over the last few days.
Thank you to our teachers who rallied around on Friday to enable work to be sent home during this time.
We look forward to seeing all children tomorrow.
This year we are celebrating 200 years of Catholic Education in Australia.
A song written by Father Rob, called "Faith in the future" was filmed recently in Shepparton.
Our school is very proud to have had some students who previously attended
St. Brendan's be a part of the recording, Angela Baxter and Tahlie Black.
St. Brendan's students also involved in this recording were Lily Giuliani, Ellia Black, Tamsyn McGregor and Lily Uluakiahoia. This was fantastic for all the girls involved and they represented our School so well with their singing talents.
Just a reminder to ensure students are wearing the correct uniform on the right days. It is very important for safety reasons to ensure children are wearing runners on Sport days.
Junior Sport Days:
Wednesday and Friday (Foundation - 2)
Middle/Senior Sport Days:
Wednesday and Thursday (Years 3 - 6)
The Parent Handbook was emailed to all families at the start of the year. If you require a hard copy, please contact the Office.
It is important for parents to read the Handbook, as it has all updated information. A few areas I would like to address:
Students are not permitted to have a mobile phone at school or use a Smartwatch to text or ring parents while at school. We supervise children after school and children are brought into the Reception area if parents are running late and we contact parents if children are sick or unsure of how they are getting home.
Students are asked not to have extreme hair styles. We have some children whose hair is hanging over their face, making it difficult for them to work.
We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Please see attached a little video from our Opening Assembly last Friday for your enjoyment.
Kind regards,
Paula Stevenson (Principal)
