Capital Works Update

Over the past two weeks we have seen some exciting progress at our new Kildare Campus, with most of the preparation work now completed and the buildings starting to take shape!

Capital works snapshot:

  • We are currently tracking in line with the program and on time for our scheduled completion date (please be mindful there are a number of factors that may impact this e.g. inclement weather, accessibility of materials and of course COVID etc.)
  • 95% of ground works are completed.
  • Steel for the Administration building is fabricated and has started going up – we will see more progress over the next couple of weeks.
  • Concrete pours for both buildings have been completed.
  • Asphalt for car park, bus lanes, driveway and basketball courts completed.
  • Preparation for power substation has commenced.
  • Preparation and planning for shared pathway from Cunningham Downs has commenced.
  • Planning works around irrigation infrastructure in progress.
  • Coliban water works in progress.
  • FF & E (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment) orders being finalised.

It has been my absolute privilege to have taken a lead role in this project over the past two and a half years and I look forward to seeing this work come to fruition in the coming months. I would like to wish Anne Marie and St Joseph’s College Echuca all the very best as the vision of Kildare Campus becomes a reality.
