Journeying Together in Christ

Learning is even more enjoyable and exciting at St. Luke's. Our new facilities are amazing! As the finishing touches occur, staff and students are flying into the school term.  Some signs and our logo appeared on the outside and some internal walls. A red star appeared at the central entrance. If you are driving past on the highway you can see it during the day and even better at night!

While we get used to the new building we will and have experienced some small challenges with routine and movement. We will continue to review and make the relevant changes.

The car pick-up is running smoothly. The rain on Thursday gave us an opportunity to see how things worked. We appreciate everyone's support.

The recent wet weather gave us a chance to trial changes to eating procedures and the indoor play time routines. We will continue to review this.

Events and dates appear in this Newsletter each fortnight (see the relevant page). These dates are updated/deleted as required on the PAM calendar and the Google calendar. The Google calendar appears on our Webpage. Newsletters are open for two weeks so please refer to this if you can't find what you are looking for.

Enrolments for Year 7 Notre Dame  College close on Tuesday 24th May. There is a message regarding this on PAM. This includes the link to their website. Some children enjoyed a tour of NDC this week.

Our Open Day is on Friday 20th May at 9:30am. Please register via the link on our webpage. We need people to do this so we can cater and fit people into the auditorium. This is for new families or children starting Foundation in 2023. We will have another opportunity for existing families to visit the new building in the coming weeks.

NAPLAN has been going on in the background this week. Mr McDonald has been coordinating this. It was a relief when our wifi was up and running as all NAPLAN is online. Thank you Mr Mac!

Thank you adults for your flexibility with car park pick-ups and changes due to the new building.

I hope our two models with our new sign don't have too many requests for autographs!

Fr Joe Taylor joined me today. It was lovely to show him through the new building. He has been in our Parish for some time and a major support to St. Luke's, St. Brendan's and NDC. He has seen a lot occur in terms of capital works.

We pray for all our community who may be at home unwell. We continue to pray for peace in our world and for those affected by the recent floods.
