Prep

The prep students have finished their very first term of biology which is very exciting! The students shared their fantastic plasticine pet models with each other and celebrated their learning last week. Students also had heaps of fun playing living thing bingo with each other. The prep students should be very proud of their positive attitude and learning in science this term.

Grade 1

The grade 1 students have continued to work on their amazing minibeast models and have started to create a habitat to accompany their mini beast model. Make sure you check them out once they go on display.

Grade 2

The grade 2 students have been extremely busy creating and filming their life cycle stop motion videos in the last few weeks. We can’t wait to watch their videos over the next few weeks.

Grade 3/4

The grade 3/4 students have been using the engineering design process to create their own minibeast (bug) catcher. The students have been busy testing and improving their designs with the minibeasts in the school yard. It has been wonderful to see all of the different designs that they students have created and the improvements that they have been making.

Grade 5/6

The grade 5/6 students have been almost completed their adventures in biodiversity, adaptions and biomes, investigating the forests and grasslands of the world. We learnt about the the eastern barred bandicoot, and how a combination of rabbits, foxes, and our destruction of the Victorian grasslands has pushed these cute creatures in the threatened species category.
