Virtual Reality

Students in 5-6 have been trying out a controller-free VR Experience which relies on the device to track the user's hands.

3D Printing

Week-on-week the designs being produced get more intricate, with many designs pushing our printers to their limits. Enjoy this sample of what's just been made:

We've also got a HUGE pile of printed objects ready for collection, so if you're waiting on something chances are it's sitting in the collection box waiting for you. :-)

Laser Cutting and Woodwork

3-6 Students have been hard at work making 'Pocket-Hugs', both during Technology classes and outside of class. The creativity, time and care that students have put in to this project has blown us away.

Parents of Prep-2 students will likely see these little trinkets popping up in pockets and bags over the remainder of Term 1, as the 3-6 classes give them out.

We've also had a few 5-6 students figure out how to use the laser-cutter and are now turning their TinkerCAD skills into various cut & engraved wooden designs.

Minecraft

Our Minecraft farming continues, with more elaborate and complex farms being crated each session.

Typing Challengers

Competition has continued at RHPS, with scores ever-increasing. Despite fantastic efforts by a number of students  exceeding the previous top-score of 2036, Sophie - 56M has regained her #1 Ranking with a massive score of 2376.

The website students are using is Typing Club (https://www.typingclub.com/) which is free, and even has a kids-mode for younger learners.

During Friday lunches students will have the opportunity to put their practice into action and put their name on the score board.
