Whole School House Athletics Carnival

We had a great day at our annual RHPS House Athletics Carnival on Tuesday 29th March! The main focus was having fun, having a go, earning house points and putting into practice all of the learning from PE in Term 1.

A HUGE thank you to the parents and family members who helped on the day – the most helpers we’ve ever had! The generosity of your time is truly appreciated, as our sport days could not run without your help. Thank you to all the staff for their assistance and support with the preparation and running of the day. Also, a big thank you to Wendy and the canteen helpers for running a pop-up canteen. It was certainly the place to be during the recess and lunch breaks!

Special mention to the staff who raced again most of the students in grades 3 - 6 in the staff vs student relays: Mr. Bradley, Ms. Murcott, Mr. Smith, Miss Peirce, Mrs. Warner, Miss Cairns and Mrs. Layton. Lots of fun and laughter, and no injuries!

Finally, WELL DONE to our fabulous students! The effort and encouragement on the day was outstanding! The winning House was... FREEMAN! Congratulations! Final results were as follows:

1st - Freeman

2nd - Bradman

3rd - Rafter

4th - Thorpe

Congratulations to Amber and Paige who competed in the Eastern Metropolitan Region Swimming Championships on March 25. Both girls swam PBs and finished in the top 8 in their events. What an outstanding achievement to make it to this level of competition. Well done girls, we are very proud of you!

Over the past fortnight, our Prep students have participated in activities practising the following skills: balance, hand-eye coordination, locomotion, hopping, jumping, crawling and ball control.
