Transition Fun

Luna Park

The final two weeks of Term 1 were full of fun for our Junior School students as well as fantastic academic achievements in our Term 1 progress reports.

On Wednesday 30th March all Year 7s attended Luna Park as a part of their Transition Program. Students and teachers had an absolute blast on all of the rides and arcade games. So many smiling faces and screams of delight were seen and heard throughout the whole day.

Many comments were made by the Luna Park staff on how polite and respectful our students were and how well they represented the College.

A big thankyou to all of the staff that attended to help make this day such a fun event for our Year 7s.

Here's a short video of the day for you to enjoy!

Trivia

The last day of term was spent competing homegroups against each other in our Ringwood Junior School Trivia Event. The squeals of excitement could be heard from across the College, with many staff popping into the hall to see what was going on.

Students competed in teams of 10 in 3 rounds of trivia and 3 challenges that consisted of a paper plane throw, egg and spoon race and the reciting of the pi digits.

Congratulations to our winning homegroups, but most importantly to the ‘have a go’ attitude of all of our students. It was a great way to celebrate the achievements of all students this term.

A huge thank you to Jacqui Godfrey (Year 8 Coordinator) for putting together all of the questions and to Corey, for the professional sound tech support throughout the event.

Finally we would like to congratulate all of our Junior School students on the way they have succeeded in Term 1, returning to full time on site schooling, after a difficult two years. We are especially proud of what you have achieved in all of your classes and participated with great enthusiasm in all of the extra curricula activities this term. It is certainly nice to be back in the school.

Our Year 7s have transitioned extremely well with minimal hiccups and we look forward to seeing what they can continue to accomplish in Term 2. It will be a very busy one with NAPLAN for our Year 7s, Anzac Day commemorations, winter sports days and further transition events.
