School Wide Swimming Program
For the first two weeks of term 2, all students had the opportunity to participate in an intensive swimming skills and water safety program at Waves Leisure Centre.
The majority of students participated and along with learning great skills, it was a fantastic social event for all students. Initially all students were assessed on their current swimming ability and from their they were put into appropriate groups to further develop their skills. One day included a water safety day, where students got in the water with extra clothing and had to get out safely with assistance from their peers.
The final day concluded with a fun day at Waves which included inflatables and a chance to go in the Waves pool. It was a great program and everyone had a great time.
Interschool Sports
This term students in grade 5 and 6, and with some assistance from some of our Grade 4 girls will be participating in weekly interschool sports against local schools.
We have entered a mixed AFL team and a girls netball team. Our AFL team will also include a number of students of Heatherton Christian College in a combined team to make up the numbers. It should be a great term of interschool sports and we look forward to seeing the students work together with good team work and sportsmanship and trying new sports.
Good luck to all involved.

After completing our successful House Cross Country event last term we now have a team that we will be inviting to represent Le Page Primary School at the Kingston District Cross Country event on Thursday 26th May.
Notices will be sent out next week to those students who will be invited to participate.
The events include
