ELC VISIT THE ZOO

Save Our Species Program

On Tuesday 8 December the graduating ELC class, Mrs Doyle and Miss Reid took part in the Save Our Species program at Melbourne Zoo. Our international students were surprised to see the koalas awake in the daytime and were excited by the native lizards scurrying underfoot in the Australian section.  The highlight of the day was the education session in the HIVE where students were introduced to a tree frog and Alvin, the snake. Students took away a number of important environmental messages with a few choosing to recycle their old mobile phones to help gorillas in the wild.
