UNIVERSITY LIFE

Swinburne University Day

More than 100 Year 9s and 10s spent the day at Swinburne University in Hawthorn on 17 November, experiencing what it would be like as a University student. This day helped us all feel more confident and at ease about transitioning from High School to University as well as showing us a whole variety of courses that Swinburne has to offer.

From the University Scavenger Hunt to the Pizza Lunch, it’s pretty safe to say that everyone had a great time. Swinburne University organised a whole range of different activities to help us think about our Careers after High School and give us an insight in to surviving University. We were fortunate enough to have a discussion with some current University students about their experiences so far and how they chose the paths they took. We even had the opportunity to sit in a Lecture Hall and receive our own lecture about Australia’s History. Everyone had an awesome day exploring Swinburne’s campus and all the facilities they offer.

On behalf of everyone that took part in the Swinburne University Day, we would like to thank Ms Tsaveas for organising such a fantastic day and giving us the opportunity to live the University life for a day.
