School Crossing Supervisors and Covid

I am writing to you today regarding the recent spike in Covid cases across Victoria. As you would be aware many industries are struggling with reduced workloads due to a high number of cases and we predict this may be the case when schools return for term 1 in a few weeks. For this reason we are forecasting that Kingston Council may potentially lose school crossing supervisors due to covid and may be unable to staff crossings on some days. We will do our best to manage staff and crossings to the best of our ability and have procedures in places to move supervisors from low priority crossings to high priority crossings.

Council will do its best to let schools know when crossings will be unstaffed to allow their parents and students to make alternative plans however please be aware we sometimes get very late notice.
