Welcome to our new Year 7 cohort

 It was a delight to see the new year 7 cohort enter the gates for the first time in 2022.  As you can imagine there were many mixed emotions, as it’s been quite a roller coaster for this group of students who have spent the last two years being in and out of school..

With this mind, the year 7 team made up of the Year Level Leader, Homeroom and Subject Teachers as well as the Learning Support Officers spent all day in homeroom on the first day of school and followed an Orientation Program for the remainder of the week. This provided students the chance to get to know their homeroom teacher and their peers. It also gave them the opportunity to receive their laptop and understand the basics of the school selected education platform Seqta. With each passing day, you could see students easing into their new school environment, friendships blossoming and a sense of confidence on their faces.

Parents were also welcomed into the community through an online informational session. Where information on how to utilise Seqta engage, managing Operoo and the up-keeping of having a child in secondary school were provided. 

As the year 7 team, we look forward to the year ahead and the many events to follow. 

I thank all staff and families for their support in making this year pleasant, memorable  and a learning experience.
