A message from our Principal

Dear Parents

We are half way through the term and teachers have met this week to engage in Professional Learning about the "Writing Revolution" and to plan the next level of work in classrooms. It is inspiring to watch our dedicated group of teachers program engaging and challenging units of work for our children to be involved in. 

We wish our District Athletics Team the very best of luck at the District Athletics Carnival tomorrow. Fingers crossed the rain stays away! Parents are asked to please drop their children to MacKillop College in the morning by 9.00am. Mr Datt, Mr Summerson and Miss Menken will be on the back oval waiting for the children. Parents are reminded that they should park in the Proctor Park parking area. Should this Friday be postponed, it will be announced via our Facebook page, Sentral Parent Portal as well as on 2BS and B-Rock FM by 7:00 am. The backup date for this Carnival is Thursday, August 25th .

Our Book Week Parade and Book Fair will take place next Friday 26th August.  From Monday to Thursday next week, each class will visit the Library to look at the Book Fair to make a wish list for parent purchasing on the day of the Book Fair/Parade. This list will be sent home with the students. The timeline for next Friday is: 

• 9:00 am-11:00 am - Children purchasing books from the Book Fair in the Library
• 12.00 am-1:00 pm - Book Character parade under the COLA with parents invited to enjoy the parade
• 1.00pm-2.00pm - Parents can attend the Book Fair with children to purchase books in the Library

Parent Teacher Interview notes have been sent home. Parent Teacher Interviews will occur in Week 7. The dates for each class are set out below. Parents can book meetings via the Sentral Parent Portal app. Alternatively, notes can be returned to the office indicating a preferred time and Mrs Lepaio will allocate a time.  

All classroom teachers will be provided with a whole day to have their interviews. Each interview will be scheduled for 15 minutes and take place in the McMullen Hall. This meeting will allow parents to speak to their child’s teacher about how they are progressing this year and any issues or concerns they may have. If you have any trouble with making a booking, please call our front office on 6331 3923 .
