Holy Name's Book of the Year 2022

Voted Holy Name's most favourite book this year was Stellarphant by James Foley. We read this book as a school over the loud speaker last Friday afternoon, and enjoyed the wonderful story of the very brave elephant named Stella who wanted to be an astronaut. This book is available to borrow in our school library.

Spelling Bee ~ Round 2

Well done to Ndella in 5B and Leroy in 6C for making it through to the next round of the Prime Minister's Spelling Bee. These two spelling champions completed the first round with matching scores of 27/30 and record breaking times of 1:30min and 2:13min respectively. They will complete the second round this week.

Indigenous Literacy Day

Next week on Wednesday 7th Spetember, it is Indigenous Literacy Day. To celebrate the stories, cultures and languages of the First Nations people within Australia, the Sydney Opera House is hosting a very special live digital event for our students to tune into just before lunch. This is a nice opportunity for your family to chat about the stories, culture and traditions that have been passed down through the generations of your family.
