Optus Digital Thumbprint Workshop
On Monday 22nd August, the Year 8 students attended a workshop about ‘Cyberbullying’. The workshop was facilitated by Mr Dom Phelan from Optus, who delivered an engaging, informative and realistic presentation to educate students on the issue of ‘Cyberbullying’. Students explored the importance of respectful relationships online through real-life scenarios. They discussed their impact when interacting online and how they could improve their digital thumbprint. Other topics that were discussed included consent online, image-based abuse, and the tools they have to positively support themselves and their peers when online.
Our Year 8 students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learned some valuable skills to stay safe when online.
