Frankston Susono Friendship Association (FSFA) Japanese Speech Contest 2022

The FSFA Japanese Speech Contest 2022 was held at Monash University Peninsula Campus at 7.00pm on Friday 2 September. There were around 40 students participating in this contest from four primary schools and four secondary schools in the Frankston region. In 1993 FSFA started holding this speech contest and has continued almost every year, but we had a two year gap due to Covid-19 restrictions.

 

There were 11 contestants from Frankston High School and we would like to announce our prize winners:

*Mele'ana Lino (Year 7) came 1st Place in Junior division
 
*Katokakala Lino (Year 10) came 1st Place in Intermediate Division
*Alyssa Lancaster (Year 10) came 3rd Place in Intermediate Division
 
*Kayra Kara (Year 11) came 2nd Place in Senior Division
*Subi Pandey (Year 11) received Commendation award
 
*Hidemi Ikegami(Year 12) came 1st Place in Japanese Environment Division

 

We had five more contestants who did very well memorizing a long speech about Momotaro and festivals in Japan. Even though they did not win a prize, they should also be congratulated on their effort!
