'A wrap up of Term 3'
Over Term 3, the library had a busy schedule with student library classes and book week activities. During this time, the library introduced many fun activities for students to get involved with CBCA Book Week, including ‘guess the number of M&M's’, story time with the CBCA shortlisted and winning books for 2022, the MS Readathon, and promoting this year’s book week theme ‘dreaming with eyes open'.
In addition to this, with the Australian School Library Day on the 24th of August, we asked students “What do you love about your library”? Students both wrote and drew anything they felt which responded to this question, we then collected these to display.
It warms our hearts with the wonderful and insightful responses they shared. What a fun and positive idea to draw Term 3 to a close.
Guess the number of M&M’s winner was Cruz K (6D).
The Star Reader Award Program pays recognition to students each term, which highlight outstanding reading and commitment to their learning. Well done to the Term 3 winner for their committed reading, Hannah A (12A).
The MS Readathon takes place throughout August. This great cause raises awareness, while promoting reading. We provided students with book tally sheets to record the number of books they read. The student who filled the most tally sheets, receives a grand prize. Other students who filled tally sheets successfully, receive a runner up prize. Congratulations to the following students.
Winner: Amelia P (4C) Runners Up: Kelsea C (6C) and Harry R (3D)
