Tennis in Health & PE

Recently we received a grant from Sporting Schools.

Sporting Schools is an Australian Government initiative designed to help schools increase children's participation in sport and connect them with community sport opportunities.

The Grant was $2500 which is being used to enhance our Tennis units in Health & Physical Education classes.

With this money we have purchased new equipment, including tennis nets, racquets and balls, teaching resources and professional development, and sessions with an external coach for our Year 9 Courts Sports class.

Some Year 7 and 8 HPE classes have also been participating in tennis.

Year 8 Boys Volleyball

On Tuesday 25th of October, the Year 8 boys Volleyball team competed at the Northern Metro Regional event. Unfortunately they were able to proceed past the pool round. Coached by Year 10 Gabriel M, the boys show great effort in all of their games, playing with great sportsmanship and pride.

Year 7 boys went to Regionals for basketball on Thursday last week.

They made the grand final and narrowly missed state.

Great effort by the boys.

Bailey Lawton was great as coach as well.
