PERFORMING ARTS

Little Red Hen

The Year 1’s have had a fantastic opportunity to perform in a very low key class production of the Little Red Hen! They made their own costumes, learnt songs, dances and lines, and performed to their families on a set in the drama space.

The students had a ball practising, preparing and finally performing! We are so proud of them, and are thankful to the families for coming along to support them!

Charlotte He: The year one’s did the Little Red Hen. I learned how to dance. I was singing.

Ethan H: We made cat, pig, duck hats. We acted the little red hen. We learned how to do the dances.

Rowan: It teaches you not to be lazy and do jobs. It will teach you a lesson that you need to help other people.

Eliana: We did a duck song! We moved to different places and swam in the pretend pool…I loved it!

Jed: We made our hats and acted the play. We stood on stage and we did our best. I learnt how to sing the pig song and all the other songs and actions.

The students had a ball practising, preparing and finally performing! We are so proud of them, and are thankful to the families for coming along to support them!

Victorian Schools Music Festival: Training Band

The Training Band had such a fun time at VSMF last week as they performed on stage at the Hawthorn Arts Centre. They worked so hard over the past weeks preparing for the festival, and had the opportunity to work with one of the adjudicators, Mr Ken Waterworth. The students did such a fantastic job, and we are so proud of their efforts! Thank you to the families who were watching the live stream of the event and those who attended the venue in person in support of our students.
