From the Director of Students

“Goodbyes make you think. They make you realize what you’ve had, what you’ve lost, and what you’ve taken for granted.” – Ritu Ghatourey

As my 4 year stint as Director of Students ends in 2022, ample time has since been spent in reflection.

This role included dealing with many challenging tasks with regard to student behaviour management, ensuring the wellbeing needs of the School community were being considered, and providing some level of organisational expertise and detail for an array of school activities. And of course, COVID -19 threw a spanner into many plans!

I have been very fortunate to work closely with a bevy of Monivae College School staff, and I’d like to thank all of them for their dedicated service, commitment and collegiality for the past four years.

Much has been achieved by this highly professional group of staff, with “whatever is best for the kids” paramount in all thinking, preparation and management of student programs and activities.

I’d like to wish Mrs. Katee Mitchell (Director of Students), and Ms. Kate Couchman (Director of Wellbeing) well in fulfilling respective responsibilities for the School in the coming years, and I’d like to express my gratitude to the many parents who have provided me with advice, understanding, friendship and support.
