Curriculum

Selamat siang families and thank you for your support throughout this remote learning period. Hopefully we only have a few more days and we can welcome our students back onsite on Wednesday! Today, parent teacher interviews have started and are being conducted over the phone. Our 100 Days of School celebration is coming up on Wednesday, please keep an eye out for a message on Sentral with some information to help us make the day extra exciting for students!

It has been great to see students engaged in our Google Meet check ins as we began our Sharing Time program. It was interesting to learn more about students as they shared about where their names came from, their favourite sports and shared some things that they have made. We look forward to continuing this program at school to support students to develop their speaking and listening skills.

Through our small group maths sessions last week we explored target number and open ended problems, encouraging student to use their part-part-whole understanding of numbers to find different solutions to the same problems.

In Literacy sessions (both library and our small group) we focused on identifying the beginning, middle and end of the problem. Students did a fantastic job identifying the problems that happen in the middle of the story and even predicting different ways that they could solve problems in the story.

Have a great week!

Miss Jessica Tossell, Miss Erin Dawson, Miss Brooke Henwood
