Grade 4 STEM students investigated how a Plasma Ball worked as part of our unit of work on Energy.

Part of the investigation involved students becoming a 'human light switch.

This involved students touching the Plasma Ball with one hand, allowing the charged electrons to pass through and holding a fluorescent light tube with the other. The result was that students had enough charged electrons to incredibly switch the light tube on.
