A message from our Principal

Dear Parents

Our very busy Term 2 is coming to an end. I would like to thank the staff and students on a great term of learning. It has also been wonderful to watch our children back on the sporting field, debating, public speaking and taking part in a range of extra curricular activities that were unavailable in 2020. 

Last Thursday our girls and boys Touch Football teams had a very successful afternoon. Congratulations to the boys who won their Round 1 match 16-1 against South Bathurst PS and their Round 2 match against Raglan PS 5-2. Our girls won their Round 2 match 11-0 against Bathurst West PS. Well done to both teams and their coaches Mrs McPhee and Miss Watterson and manager Mrs Ivory.

Last Friday Semester 1 Reports were sent home with children. We thank parents for the positive feedback about the report format and its ease of reading. If parents would like to speak to their child's teacher about the report, please contact the office to make an face to face or phone appointment.

Congratulations to our Term 2 Green Award winners who joined me and many school staff on Tuesday in the staff room to enjoy a morning tea to celebrate their wonderful term of work and learning. It is always the highlight of my day to stop and celebrate the success all of our children have at school. Thank you to our well being team for their organisation of the morning tea.

Last week Ella Pringle competed in the NSW Primary School Soccer titles as a representative of the Western Region team. The carnival, held in Western Sydney, was held over 3 days seeing girls all over the state compete for the state title. Ella received plenty of field time and enjoyed representing her area. The Western team finished 12th. Well done Ella. 

This week we had 7 students selected to represent the district of Bathurst at the Western Region Touch Football trials. In the girls, Ella Pringle and Ruby Cole were selected in the next stage of possible and probables, but unfortunately missed the final selection this year. In the boys, Nick Holman was selected as a shadow player (reserve to be called) for the Western Region Team. Congratulations Nick and congratulations to all students who made it to these trials. 

Tomorrow, Friday 25th June, our SRC have organised a school Mufti Day. All children are encouraged to come to school dressed in their favourite 'Footy Team' colours. A wonderful way to finish the term. Thank you to the SRC and Mrs Guihot.

Staff return to school in Term 3 on Monday 12th July. This is a School Development Day where staff will be involved in Professional Learning. All children K-6 return to school on Tuesday 13th July at 9am.

I do hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and takes the opportunity to relax and recharge. If travelling away stay safe and please regularly monitor the NSW Health updates .
