Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Families,

 

Onsite Information

While we are fortunate to have some relaxation of restrictions last week, the following are still in place to keep us COVID- safe. At this stage they are in place until we receive further advice from the state government. We are expecting new Operational Guidelines to come out today or tomorrow. 

  • No incursions or excursions for students
  • No community groups using the gym
  • Non-essential visitors-not allowed onsite
  • Parents not allowed onsite (some exemptions apply)
  • Assemblies restricted to the staff and students.
  • No food sharing between students
  • Playgrounds remain open for school use and can be made available to the community after hours.
  • Drinking fountains remain open.
  • School tours cannot be conducted.
  • Non-essential meetings, and all school events, gatherings should be held remotely
  • Hand sanitiser at entry points to the classroom
  • Promote outdoor ventilation
  • Density limits of 1 person per 4 square metres
  • Strict hand hygiene when there is the sharing of equipment
  • Unwell staff and students are to remain at home and get tested even with the mildest symptoms 

 

JSC Fundraiser

Scrunchies were a very popular item on Wednesday. During COVID last year Mrs Lardner filled in her time by making scrunchies and items for the Mother’s Day Stall. Proceeds will go towards new soccer nets. 

 

Out Uniform Day

JSC are holding an Out of Uniform Day on Tuesday 22nd June, to raise funds for the Australian Koala Foundation. A gold coin donation would be appreciated.

 

School Council

Due to current restrictions our meeting next Monday will be held via WebEx.

 

Winton Cross Country

Due to COVID restriction the Regional Cross Country has a new tentative date, Friday 23rd July. 

 

Reports

Reports are completed and we look forward to sharing them with families next Wednesday when they are sent home. 

 

Final Assembly

At this stage no parents will be able to attend final assembly which will be next Friday at 1.30pm. We will let you know if restrictions change. Students will be dismissed at 2pm.
