Wellbeing Report

Wellbeing Centre

The Wellbeing Centre is a place where students can speak with counsellors and develop strategies to regulate their emotions and behaviour. At Epping Secondary College, all students have the opportunity to receive different levels of wellbeing support. This includes pro-active programs delivered to students in Learning for Life classes, Health classes and workshops. Some students need a more targeted approach with their wellbeing and work with counsellors and the Student Wellbeing Coordinator.

Raise Mentoring Program

Ten students from Year 7, 8 and 9 have been participating in the RAISE Mentoring program for about 8 weeks. They are developing many skills – identifying their strengths, learning how to solve problems, improving communication skills and being more confident in speaking to peers and adults. Students have been very adaptable and are having online sessions due to Lockdown and COVID – 19 restrictions at school. The program will continue for term 3 and a few weeks into term 4.
