Summer Lightning Premierships

On Friday the 31st of March, Year 5/6 students participated in the Phillip District Summer Lightning Premierships. Our Lady of Fatima had teams in the sports of VolleyStars, Volleyball, Hot Shots Tennis and Basketball.

Students traveled to various venues on the Peninsula for the different competitions. Basketball was held at Frankston Basketball Stadium. Hot Shots Tennis was held at Sorrento Tennis Club and the Volleystar/Volleyball Competition was held at Eastbourne Primary School.

Students have been preparing for these events in their Physical Education classes and Senior Sport time on Fridays.

Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the Summer Lightning Premierships. You represented the school very well and should be proud of your efforts. A special mention to the Volleyball Girls team that won the District competition and will now progress to the Division playoffs later in the year!

A huge thank you to Lisa Farrelly, Maree Mellett, Lynne McClaren, Cynthia Anderson, Toni D’Alia and Alicia Wanless for their assistance at various sports on the day. Your help is always greatly appreciated. Thank you.
