Peer Support Training

By  Angelina - Year 6

Last term on the 28th of March, Year 6, 5/6H and 5/6S started our first ever peer-support training session for 2023.

It was an enjoyable day and we had lots of fun having our peer-support training program in the hall for the whole day.

We did multiple activities on the day and participated in a handful of different activities which included lots of teamwork, team building, leadership and communication skills.

Moreover, we discussed many subjects and situations that might occur during the peer support program.

The most delightful part of the experience for me was problem solving because we had to make an outfit out of plain old newspapers and masking tape. It required a lot of teamwork, collaboration and effort.

We faced many challenges throughout the whole day but at the end of it, we got to meet and get to know new people around us. The peer support training program was wonderful as it taught a great lesson for everyone and we are looking forward to working with our groups starting in Week 2, Term 2.
