P&C Update

M.Glushkova & S.Meoli

Welcome back to school everyone, we hope you had a great Easter Break.

If you haven't yet joined the P&C, you can still join by emailing us at sjppspandc@gmail.com, or message us on the Facebook page:

'P&C of St Johns Park Public School'.

Let’s come together and make this a fun year for our students.

Easter Raffle

The Easter Raffle was a very fun event. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets, and a big congratulations to all the winners.

We had 10 fantastic hampers 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize were all over $100 each and 4th to 10th prizes were over $50 each.

The P&C wanted to add a bit more extra fun so we included 5 more mini prizes at the last minute to be drawn at the end.

Judging from the screams coming from the classrooms, the kids loved this addition.

On behalf of the P&C, I was able to source donations from Coles and Big W for the hampers (who donated $150 worth of goodies). Thank you Coles and Big W.

I want to pass on a big thank you to everyone who helped make the Easter Raffle happen –

  • Valerie, who helped me put together the Easter Raffle tickets.
  • Sarah, who came out and bought goodies with me, and the help of putting together the hampers.
  • Lisa, who drove me all the way to Auburn to pick up hamper supplies and gave me her discount to use.
  • Linh, who helped me with all the cellophane wrapping and packing the hampers.
  • Lan, Kien, Linda and Sophea for helping the Easter bunny count all the Easter Eggs for all our students.
  • Sarah, David, Eng Hwa, Linh, Lan, Vannette and Caela for helping me on the day of the raffle.
  • Daniel for all the printing work and donating over $75 worth of goodies for the hampers and donating $35 on extra Easter chocolates for the Teachers and Staff.

Lastly, thank you to all our P&C Members for voting to support this event and making it happen, so that we can support our students.

Term 2

Here’s what the P&C has planned for

Term 2:

  • Mother’s Day Stall (Week 3)
  • Updating the vegetable patch  (Week 5)
  • Art Competition (Week 5) with the much-prized school logo backpacks available to win. Flyers will be sent out at the beginning of Week 5.
  • A parents and carers' morning tea dedicated to covering new library books (date to be advised).
  • Two P&C Meetings to plan some more events for Term 3 (the next meeting is on Wednesday 17th May at 9:30am in the hall).

We would also love to hear how YOU think we can all support our school community. More details in the next newsletter, so stay tuned.
