House Cross Country 2023

We were blessed with sunshine for our 2023 House Cross Country event last Friday.  It was great to welcome parents and families back into our school to help out and support our students in what is a challenging event.  Huge thanks to those parents who volunteered to help out on the day - it is very much appreciated!

Students in years 3 to 6 participated in this annual SJV sporting event.  Students had been practicing and preparing for running longer distances around our school.  The 3/4 students race was approximately 1.7km, while the 5/6 students race was approximately 2.5km.  

All students who participated received points for their House team in order to win the House Fun Run trophy for 2023.  This year it was Green house who took home the trophy, followed by Gold, Blue and Red.  A fantastic effort by everyone who participated for their team!  

There were some amazing results and 47 students have qualified to run for SJV at the Wellington District Cross Country event next Monday to be held at Norton's Park in Wantirna South.  These students will run 2km or 3km against students from other schools in our District.  We wish them all the best for this event!!
