Principal Post

Dear Families,

Well we certainly have had a blast of cooler, almost Winter like weather, across these past few days! Keep warm and well.

Classes Masses begin!

We are so excited to be gathering together as a school to celebrate our faith with our first Class Mass for 2023. Thank you to 5-6A who have prepared this week's Liturgy.

We invite all parents to our celebration. After the Mass 5-6 parents are invited to a Morning Tea in the staffroom.  Please bring a plate but ensure all ingredients are included and clearly labelled. No Nuts (including nut oil)  or fresh cream.

Cross Country

What a wonderful event last week for our Year 3-6 students! Please read the Cross Country  news in this edition. Congratulations to  'Xavier' - Green House  on taking home the shield!

Congratulations....

Our Congratulations to Tyson (5-6F)  who last weekend was Runner Up in the Regional 'Camp Australia' Handball Competition. This is an outstanding achievement and well celebrated at our Monday assembly!  Well done to other students in the service who won awards; Jessica, Brandon and Patrick.

Parish School Fete 2023

(There are a couple of changes to last week's insert - please read carefully)

Please save the date Saturday October 21st.

If the fete is to go ahead with school involvement we will need parents from the school to join the committee.

If we do not get at least a few parents to sit on the committee the fete will be organised and run by the Parish.

Put simply it will be a Parish event and any profits will go to the Parish.

The school would then need to decide how we would fundraise for the school going forward.

If  however we do have a fete committee comprising parishioners and school then the fundraising profits from the fete will be split between the Parish and the school.

The chair of the Parish Fete is a parishioner Alice Peters.

The next meeting is Tuesday May 23rd at 7pm and we will need to have parents who want to be on the committee to come to this meeting in person.

At these initial meetings 'the committee's role is to discuss what the fete will look like; what stalls and activities. The committee oversees the Fete.  A school parent role would be to liaise with other parents and school leadership.

The Committee will also organise dates for following meetings. The meetings will be held in school term time not in holiday time. In the  past years,  meetings,  have been usually  been monthly and closer to the fete date, will be held fortnightly.

Meetings will be held in person on Tuesdays at 7pm in the Gavin Felix room in the church.

If you are interested in joining the committee or you have any other feedback around the fete please  email me.
