1/2LK

Three times per week, the children in 1/2LK partake in a Literacy activity called 'Fluency Pairs.' This allows students to gain practise in reading smoothly and accurately, with appropriate pacing and expression. The children really enjoy this activity because they work in pairs and provide feedback to each other about their skills. As time goes by, they will, hopefully, notice their improvements and encourage each other in the process.

During weeks 2 and 3 this term, the students in grade 1/2LK learnt about how to partition numbers using Place Value. At the end of the unit the students produced 'creatures' using MAB block cut outs. They then explained how their creature was partitioned using 1000s. 100s, 10s and 1s.
