Tai Snaith Exhibition - Hierarchy of Needs

Last week, the grade 2’s visited Tai Snaith’s exhibition ‘Hierarchy of needs’ at the Bayside Gallery. 

They were guided through the exhibition and were able to look closely at the watercolour paintings. They also participated in a collage workshop, choosing an animal and creating a habitat for it in their artworks. 

This exhibition linked what the grade 2 students are learning about in their unit of inquiry in their classroom and the work they are doing in the art room. They are learning all about  living things and how they are connected to their habitats.
