Term 1 

In term 1 we will be learning about incorporating physical activity into our lives and understanding intensities of physical activity. Students will engage in invasion game strategies and develop fundamental movement skill refinement.

 

Learning Intentions-

Students will:

  • explore and identify levels of intensity when participating in a range of physical activities  
  • apply and transfer skills, strategies and decision making
  • explore how the body feels before, during and after participation in physical activity and the positive influence on wellbeing
  • apply and adapt movement strategies in small-sided invasion games 
  • apply critical and creative thinking processes to solve movement problems when on and off the ball 
  • refine and apply fundamental movement skills including overarm throw, foot dribble, hand dribble and kick 
  • explore movement strategies to achieve movement outcomes in small-sided games 
  • explore and develop leadership, teamwork and fair play when participating in games 
  • practise and refine fundamental movement skills including catching, throwing, and galloping in movement situations

Term 2

In Term 2 we will be learning to use strategies and skills to solve problems in small-sided net and wall games. Students will develop teamwork and leadership through net and wall games.

 

Learning Intentions-

Students will: 

  • demonstrate fair play while performing leadership roles in games 
  • explore movement strategies in small sided games
  • apply critical and creative thinking to solve movement problems in net and wall games 
  • propose and adapt movement strategies and apply fundamental movement skills to achieve successful outcomes in games.
