READING OLYMPICS

Throughout Terms 3 and 4, the Library ran a Reading Games class competition for all of the Year 7 English classes. The idea was for each student to complete as many events as possible, with the aim of being the class with the most overall points.

The competition involved finding books in the Library, memorising Australian authors and, of course, reading many types of books.

For each event completed, students received a House point.

After a hotly contested competition, the winning team was one of Miss Pitt’s classes, with her second class finishing second and Mrs Thring’s class taking out third. The prize for the winning class was a pizza party courtesy of the Library.

The students had a lot of fun and, most importantly, they read books!

Thanks to all the Year 7 teachers and students who got on board with the competition this year.  It would not have been a success without you.
