End of Year Book Returns

With the end of the year approaching, we need to return all the books that you have borrowed from the library this year.  I will be sending out notices in the next few weeks, so that you know the titles of the books that you are looking for.  If you are having difficulty finding the missing books, please feel free to contact me to discuss.  I understand that they can be pesky, and hard to find.  I suggest looking in the back of the car, under the rugs, behind the bed and under the cushions on the couch. Let's get all the books back into the library so they can have a rest.

Borrowing eBooks over the Holidays

Just a reminder that our Year 4-6 students have access to eBooks which are available to borrow using a computer, or iPad through our library catalogue.  Just follow the link –

Students need to log in using their computer username and password, and then navigate to searching for eBooks.

Encouraging your child to read over the holidays will assist with their continued learning and will keep their reading practice up to date.  It has been shown in studies that students can fall back several months over long holiday breaks if they are not reading.

Hume Libraries

The Hume Library Service has libraries located in Craigieburn, Broadmeadows, Gladstone Park Secondary College (opening @ 2.00pm weekdays over the holidays), Sunbury, and Tullamarine.  These libraries have a huge range of books, but also has a lot of other activities suitable for children of all ages.  Have a look at this link as anyone can join the library either online or in person –
