Bike Club

An extra-curricular camp with fifteen Bike Club members and five staff travelled to Porepunkah/Bright in central Victoria from the 29th November to 2nd December. The group had an amazing experience camping in Porepunkah and riding along the Murray to Mountain rail trail over four days. The camp provided students with many spectacular views as they rode through the district and even better views from the top of Mt Buffalo after a short bus ride up to the scenic look out.

The students rode an average of 25km each day in ideal weather conditions and each ride gave them a greater appreciation of the benefits and advantages of exploring new locations on two wheels. The nights provided opportunities for campfires and of course toasting marshmallows. The highlight was probably the ghost tour at the old asylum in Beechworth where a few tales were told.

The student’s participation and behaviour could not have been better as they represented the college while they were on camp. This was highlighted by feedback from other campers in the park on multiple occasions.

Once again, we were supported by Clif Bars, who supplied recovery bars that the students snacked on each day during and after rides. Clif’s generous donation of products was greatly appreciated by all who attended the camp.
