Chaplain's Corner

Welcome back to school for 2023. I hope you all had an enjoyable break and look forward to a new year at school. It is great to be back at Bunyip Primary, for those who are new to the school my name is Yvonne and I am the school Chaplain. I work for CHIPS (Christians Helping in Primary Schools) who I have volunteered for over the last 15 years with helping run their Life Gets Better Camps for school children. 

This year I will be working 2 days a week, Monday and Tuesday. I can be contacted on these days between school hours by calling the school number or sending an email to me on yvonnechaplain1@gmail.com . If you would like your child to see me, there are consent forms at the school office or chat to your teacher. 

My role is to provide a fun safe place where students can talk about anything they have on their minds, or just sit quietly doing an activity or game to help them express and regulate their thoughts and feelings. Along with helping children to develop positive self-esteem and wellbeing. To also support children to have a positive mindset of themselves as they attend school.
