Junior School Council

Supporting Foothills Community Care

On Thursday 8 December, Level 4 & 5 Junior School Council representatives visited Foothills Community Care at Upwey Baptist Church to see firsthand the support given to those in need.

After watching all the amazing volunteers working in the kitchen to supply meals and a catch up with CEO Stephen Barrington, the students were quickly set to work. They sorted the food items and created hampers to be given out at Foothills Christmas Women’s Market Day. They worked efficiently in a short time to create 60 hampers! Great Job!

Thank you to Amy Hipwell & Sam Brooks for assisting with transport.

Reminder:

You can still donate to our Reverse Advent Calendar food drive at school. Send any food items along with your child to pop in their class hamper or consider creating your own. Home Hampers can be delivered to Junior School Council representatives at the Homestead Drive gate on Tuesday 13 December between 8:45-9:10am. All hampers will be delivered to Foothills next Friday 16 December.
