Term 4 Sports Report

Term 4 is always a quiet one on the sporting calendar as there are no scheduled division sports. We did however have our Regional Athletics team compete at the SMR competition in week 1 of the term. We had 22 students represent the college in both track and field events against some of the finest athletes in the state. Having some great success with Melissa Milanzi and Suhaib Adam placing in their events bringing home a medal in hurdles and the 800m.

There were 6 regional sports teams (listed below) that had their tournaments this term also – With our year 8 boys futsal team only going down by 1 goal to the state champions!

This year was filled with success – We held our title of Division Swimming and Cross Country champions for the 3rd year running and came in 2nd place for Division Athletics. We also progressed through to 11 regional tournaments in varying sports which is significantly higher than the last few years. We are so proud of the hard work and success of our students and are looking forward to what 2023 will hold.

A big thank you to our coaching for term 4 – Without this help our sports program would be impossible to run.
