Class Ambassadors
Dear Rangeview Families,
We are calling for expressions of interest for the role of Class Ambassador for each grade across the school.
The role isn’t very time consuming but is very important for the children in your class, their parents, and the wider Rangeview Community. Classes may have two Class Ambassadors sharing the position if agreeable. The main roles of a Class Ambassador are to encourage parent involvement in the school community, promote Parents and Friends activities, be a contact for families, and distribute the contact details that have been collated by the school. Having a Class Ambassador also enables communication and organisation between the teachers and families in relation to classroom helpers and other activities, including excursions etc.
The Class Ambassador will decide the best way to get communication to the parents in their Class. It could be by email, text message or setting up a “WhatsApp” group. Please ensure any group chats are supportive, inclusive and appropriate.
Class Ambassadors:
- Distribute the class contact list.
- Liaise between Teacher and Parents for in-class volunteers, excursions etc.
- Organise coffee/drinks/park catch ups, if they think there will be interest.
- Encourage participation in parent social events (Mum’s night, trivia night).
- Organise an end of year class gift/card for the class teacher/s.
- Help organise the end of year class party and other classroom celebrations.
- Read the school newsletter each week to keep up to date with what’s happening around the School
- Send reminder emails/texts (swimming, free dress days, subway lunch days, photo days etc).
- Distribute emails and reminders on behalf of Parents and Friends.
- Help organise the year level events and organise parent volunteers.
- Organise class participation at the School Fair (every 2nd year).
If you are interested in volunteering for this role for your grade please complete the Google Form here by Wednesday 15th February.
