Learning In My Level

A celebration of what's happening across the school!

Rangeview Start Up Program

This year, we are making a small change to some of the content in our newsletter. Based on parent/community feedback about how busy and big our newsletter has been, we have made the decision to reduce the amount of pages - we hope this also increases engagement with our newsletter!

Every fortnight, our levels will take turns to share what is happening in their areas of the school -  a 'Spotlight' on what has been going on. Our  5/6s will begin in the next newsletter, followed by our 3/4s, our 1/2s, and finally, our Foundation team to round out the term.

This edition of 'Learning In My Level' will let you know a bit about how the school year begins for all of our students!

Over the first two weeks of the school year, all of our classes have all been participating in the Rangeview 'Start Up' program. There are many aims and objectives of the Start Up Program, which include:

  • Relationships / development of new friendships
  • Getting to know your teacher(s)
  • Team building
  • Engagement
  • Growth mindset approaches
  • Classroom norms/agreements
  • Behaviour expectations
  • A heavy wellbeing focus
  • Understanding of whole school approaches in English and Maths
  • Some initial assessment to begin the year

    and, most importantly...

  • Fun!

The first two weeks across the school for the year provide a really exciting opportunity for students to settle in their new classes and levels, get to know their classmates and set themselves up for a successful year.
