Principal's Report
Hello everyone,
On one hand I cannot believe I am drafting my final piece for the newsletter for the year, yet on the other hand, the beginning of 2022 seems an eternity ago. I use the reference point of our Election Day event that we hosted in May … in my mind, an eternity ago.
Yet here we are with another graduating group of students fully prepared to move to secondary school and another group for preschoolers ready to begin their school journey at Windsor PS.
Regardless of how great or how small the contribution may have been, a huge, huge thank you to everyone who has helped us in some way through the year. Your contribution is not only appreciated but is what makes Windsor Primary School so special.
Special acknowledgement to our staff and students who have persevered through a challenging year in regard to health, absences, restricted spaces and the continuation of COVID uncertainty.
Please use the summer break to surround yourself with those important to you and find time to pursue the interests and passions that you identify with. Although a difficult year, please reflect on the achievements, progress and satisfying memorable moments – the things we need to stimulate a modern-day mental health renaissance. Our kids need to know that we have successfully worked through a really tough period (historically, possibly another ‘dark age’) and although difficult, we are not going to be defined by it.
I hope everyone’s break is safe and full of joy, and I look forward to hearing about every moment of it when we return on January 31st.
