Mabo House

Welcome to 2022!

A warm welcome to Mabo House students and families, we would like to congratulate you on a fantastic start to the 2022 school year! In the first two weeks of school, we have seen so many of our students demonstrating our values of Respect, Learning and Working Together both in and outside the classroom.

Who is Eddie Mabo?

Eddie was an inspirational Australian who fought for Aboriginal Land Rights. Our 2021 House Leaders have made this short clip to pay tribute to his work and teach us why he is so important in Australian history:

Hello everyone, our names are Mustafa and Rozana and we are the HPSC Mabo House Leaders for 2022!! We are currently both in year 12, and are so ready to be taking on this role in our last year at HP. We are so excited for what this year has in store for Mabo House (the best house) such as winning swimming carnival that’s actually coming up in a few weeks so everyone get your house pride ready, and your green clothes/ costumes to wear so we can be the most supportive house and beat the other houses because we are #1 as always.

As part of our HPSC House renovations in 2021, we asked our House Leaders to create infographics on the famous and influential Australian figures after whom our new houses were named.
