Meet Our New Assistant Principals

Welcome back to the School Year

A very warm welcome back to our Students, Staff and Families. It has been lovely to meet so many of you already, face to face and hearing the buzz of learning taking place across all classrooms.

Mr Eldridge and I are new to the Hampton Park community this year and we are honoured to be joining you all, as Assistant Principals.

From the moment we stepped foot into the school, it was evident to us both, that Hampton Park is a very special community, deserving of the best. We are thrilled to be a part of the schools journey at this time and we are excited about the opportunities possible. We are equally as excited to get to know you all and in working with you to ensure the success of your children – success that is personal and aligned to who your child is as a person and a learner.

Together we have been blown away by the maturity of our students, their approach to learning and the respect they show each other, our staff and our community, every day. Our students have risen to our focus on ‘raising the expectations’, and the improvement we have seen across the school already in the wearing of full correct school uniform, high levels of attendance and the number of values awards coming through every day, is fantastic – a wonderful start to the Term. We encourage all students to continue coming to school every day and arriving to school and class on time, which evidence suggests will support/improve learning growth and provide greater pathway options in the future. We do encourage families to reach out to us, or any member of the House Leadership Teams if you require support or assistance with uniform, attendance, or anything else related to your childs learning growth.

The establishment of the House system at HPSC is very special and Mr. Eldridge and I are grateful to contribute to the development of our House model. Both he and I come from Schools with strong House systems, and we know the benefits Houses can provide, including a strong sense of connection, personalised learning support and a strengthened sense of wellbeing. Together, we will work towards ensuring we develop the best House system possible. A system which supports our community and is unique to our needs, unlike any other. House spirit is already coming alive, and it was great to see our staff in their House colours this week, modelling how proud they are to be part of this special school. We look forward to seeing our Students in their House colours at our upcoming Swimming Carnival and other events throughout the year.

We thank everyone for welcoming us so warmly and we look forward to working with you. Together we know our school will be the school of choice in the future and we are grateful to be part of this time, in the history of HPSC.

Have a wonderful Term and please do not hesitate to get in contact with Mr. Eldridge or I.

Kind Regards

Kelly Krieg and Max Eldridge
