TERM 3
Year 5 Song Writing Competition – Raise Your Voice
Following on last term’s news about Year 5 winning the Harmony Day state song writing competition, we are pleased to announce that the song has now been placed on the website for the public to hear. Unfortunately, the prize giving ceremony at NSW Parliament earlier this month was cancelled, however we received our first-place certificate, and the students are very excited to be able to share their song with the wider public. Natalie Hayward & George Nash were the representatives who received the certificate on behalf of Year 5, although getting it from Mrs Sinclair certainly wasn’t as exciting as meeting Gladys Berejiklian!
You can hear the song via the Moving Forward Together website.

Netball
U9 Vipers: At netball we had a lot of fun on Wednesday 16th June. It was raining for the last two Quarters, and we were playing outdoors. It was challenging playing on the slippery ground. Several of our girls fell over in the game. We all did our best, but we lost the game 2:4. We scored two goals and the other team scored four goals. We played against the Hawks Priceline Pharmacy. The girls in the other team are really tall, taller than us.

On Wednesday 23rd June we played Life Studio Nashies and won 9-0. As it was the first week of the holidays it was great to catch up with each other and see what everyone had been doing. The girls are improving every week especially when moving the ball down the court and defending our players.
We can’t wait to play again after the holidays!

U12 Kestrels: Well done to the KWS Kestrels for coming out in the hail and snow to play OPS Go Getters. It was a great game that kept us all running. The Kestrels end up winning the game by 3 goals and the final score was 14 to 11.
