Mr Rodrigues
Dear Families,
What a wonderful week we have had at Trinity. Thanks again to all those parents able to stay for our Monday morning gatherings as these are always such a great way to start the week, even if last Monday you had to listen to Mr Anania and I, a little too enthusiastically singing the National Anthem. Immediately following our Monday gathering, this week, we were very lucky to have the first of our Careers Week guest speakers, Amanda, speak of her amazing career as an Engineer. Careers Week continued and a number of other very talented parents - Jenny and Salli also spoke about their careers and I am sure have inspired many children to be excited about what might lay ahead for them when they leave school. Ms. O'Connor will share more about this great initiative in her page of the newsletter this week.
Thank you to all those parents who have responded to Mr Ru's Communication Survey. It is still not too late to add your thoughts HERE. There have already been many great suggestions which I promise we will follow up, so thanks for the honest and helpful feedback.
Prayer: for Your Direction
Almighty and Everlasting God, I pray that You put me in the right direction as I search for a career. Please align me with Your plan. Fill me with the values and convictions that will equip me for this career. When I feel doubtful or lost on this career journey, I pray that You remind me of Your never-ending presence. I will never walk alone.
You have designed me and my story beautifully,
Lord. I pray that I see Your plan unfold.
In Jesus’ loving name,
Amen.
Parents & Friends
A reminder that we would still love some more volunteers to get involved with the P&F. If you would like to find out more please come and see me or chat to Jenny or Sophie as I am sure they would be happy to let you know how you can be involved.
AAP (Annual Action Plan)
Last week I shared one of our important AAP goals for this year. Below is another important goal we have set in the area of Student Learning.
AAP Goal: To design learning that caters for all students, including accelerating achievement for highly-able learners
A number of actions will be put in place to achieve this goal including, providing additional opportunities for highly able students to take part in programs such as GATEWAYS, Maths Competitions, Maths Olympiad, Maths Talent Quest, BEBRAS Computational Thinking Challenge etc, designed to meet the needs and interests of our students
Uniform Expectations - Thank You
Thank you all for your support in encouraging our children to wear their correct uniform to school each day. There has already been a noticeable improvement. We will, however, continue to remind children each day if they are wearing incorrect uniform.
Community Calendar - Keep up with our important dates!
